This program was launched by United Way of Rhode Island in 2020 when on-profit organizations were unable to gather in their traditional ways. Each year since then, the program has grown in participation and giving with very creative ways to multiply your individual contributions.
Multiply your donation to NRPA on both April Fool’s Day and April 2
Your donation though 401 Gives will help support NRPA’s preservation, education, and science programs.
Amplify Your Impact
All matching funds go extremely quickly…
This first group is dollar for dollar matches up to a specific amount
At 6:00 a.m. April 1 the first $20,000 will be matched by Papitto Opportunity Connection. A straight dollar for dollar match per donor up to $500 will be available.
At noon. April 1 another $25,000 will be matched by Rhode Island Energy
A straight dollar for dollar match per donor, up to $500 will be available.
At 4:01. April 1 the next $20,000 will be matched by Rhode Island Foundation at $20 each (ex. $20 matched by $20 turns into $40). No maximum, minimum is $5. HOWEVER maximum match per donor is $20.
Also, there are specific times during each day when drawings will be held for matching fundsThroughout both April 1 and 2 there will be 12 random drawings based on number of unique donors. Drawings range in size from $500 to $1000 which will be donated to the “micro” non-profits like NRPA.
